Pearls and Stars Lacquered Paper Earrings with Silver Handmade earrings that are quiet but definitely glamorous, these dangling earrings are made with light grey lacquered eardrops decorated with random white stars, and hand-wired dangles of pretty, slightly nuggety white freshwater pearls. The eardrops including dangles measure approx. 1.5 inches. The earwires are sterling silver. These earrings are my original design. The lacquered drops are made with several layers of cold-pressed paper, with multiple layers of lacquer added for both gloss and durability. The lacquering process is time-consuming but the end result is extremely strong - I've been wearing my favorite pairs for over ten years and they look great.
