Kanji Woman Lacquered Paper Green Petal Earrings Handmade earrings in a soft, pretty green petal shape with turquoise quartz 4mm accent beads handwired to dangle below the petals. The earrings feature the japanese kanji that says "onna", or "woman". The shape is a pretty curved petal, and the color a soft spring green. Translucent 4mm turquoise quartz rounds are handwired below the lacquered petals. The earrings measure approximately 1.5 inches below gold-filled earwires. The lacquered petal drops with Japanese kanji are my original design. The drops are made with several layers of cold-pressed paper, with multiple layers of lacquer added for both gloss and durability. The lacquering process is time-consuming but the end result is extremely strong - I've been wearing my favorite pairs for over ten years and they look great.
