Pink Lacquered Paper Rose Earrings with Pearls If you like roses you will love these handmade earrings. :-) The lacquered roses (from my original sketch) are pink,with tiny accents of white and green, and measure just over one-half inch. Pretty golden chains (gold-plated brass) are decorated with pink freshwater pearls, accented with golden bali-style spacers. These earrings are lightweight and girly, and measure approx. 1.5 inches below gold-filled earwires. These handmade, lacquered rose earrings are made with several layers of paper, with multiple layers of lacquer added for both gloss and durability. The lacquering process is time-consuming but the end result is extremely strong - I've been wearing my favorite pairs for over ten years and they look great.
