Kanji Mother Earrings in Lacquered Paper with Swarovski Crystals Pink lacquered drops on these handmade earrings have the japanese kanji "haha:, or "mother". Of course these pink earrings are perfect for Mother's Day but truly, they are such a pretty color she'll love them anytime. :-) The lacquered drops are a soft shell pink with offwhite and black, accented with swarovski crystals with an aurora borealis finish. The earrings measure just over one inch below gold-filled earwires. The lacquered pink drops with Japanese kanji are my original design. The drops are made with several layers of cold-pressed paper, with multiple layers of lacquer added for both gloss and durability. The lacquering process is time-consuming but the end result is extremely strong - I've been wearing my favorite pairs for over ten years and they look great.
