Red Rose Lacquered Paper Earrings with Faceted Crystals Red rosebud lacquered earring drops are accented with hand-wired red czech fire-polished glass beads, deep pink Swarovski crystal faceted bicones, golden bali-style spacers, and gold fire-polished glass. These are long, lightweight cluster earrings - including the chain and hand-wrapped beads, they measure approximately 2¼" below gold-filled earwires. The lacquered red rosebuds are from my original drawing. The drops are made with several layers of paper, with multiple layers of lacquer added for both gloss and durability. The lacquering process is time-consuming but the end result is extremely strong - I've been wearing my favorite pairs for over ten years and they look great.
